Tokyo, Amazon Fashion Studio.
The location where parts of the second episode of the popular TV series MAKING THE CUT, presented by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, was filmed.
Inside the building, a specific stairwell was the setting where the models walked on, showing the outfits that the fashion designers created in the competition.
The decor for the film shoot had to be digital and NuFormer was assigned to create such a digital decor by top-level 3D video projection mapping.
The sides of the stairwell were the canvas for our projection mapping. The light situation on the set was fully under control which resulted in a color-rich projection with high contrast. For the designers, there were 6 themes to choose from: fire, underwater, geometry, nature, universe and circuit board.
This video shows the projection mapping content like it was exposed during the shoot
The full MAKING THE CUT episode as well as the complete series are broadcasted first on Amazon Prime, followed later by multiple fashion channels worldwide. The full series and the different episodes can now be seen on Amazon Prime.
Many thanks to all the people that we worked with in this exciting project and especially SKR Productions for the splendid directions in the process and Creative Factory for the great cooperation in the creative and technical realization of this production.

Video mapping Covra, The Netherlands.
One of the highlights from the openings ceremony at VOG-2 for COVRA was this extraordinary 3D video projection mapping.
NuFormer used, inside a large hall and in front of an selective audience (including member Royal family), the natural reflection of the shiny floor as part of the total content.
Also a projection on the ceiling was added so the mapping performance got multiple dimensions.
Together with impressive sound effects this 3D video mapping has become one of the most exclusive ever performed for a live audience.
Many thanks to COVRA’s great management team for giving NuFormer the free hand in the design of the projection content.

Target-Star Wars
Target approached bluemedia acquisition, Digital Media Etc and NuFormer for help in creating a range of ‘Galactic Experiences’ to showcase the Stars Wars-themed attractions and merchandise they had planned. Working side-by-side with the brand a one-of-a-kind Star Wars 360 degree dome projection was one of the highlights of the event at Staples Center, Los Angeles.
Working like an on-premise planetarium, Star Wars fans were taken on a epic 3D journey, from galaxy to galaxy, and immersed in an epic battle sequence between the Dark Side and the Light. The Galactic Experiences also included use of Target-branded, light-synchronized wrist bands for the audience to wear during the show. As Rebel and Empire starships fired different colored lasers across the domed-screen, audience members’ wrist bands flashed the same colors, reds and greens, adding an extra layer of visual excitement to the experience.
The 3D journey was a huge hit among Star Wars fans young and old, and was replayed more than 180 times over the two day event. In all, tens of thousands of Star Wars fans enjoyed the Galactic Village leading up to the Hollywood premier of Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Video mapping Toyota
For the launch of the all-new 2016 Toyota Avalon, Toyota’s ad agency tapped bluemedia acquisition, Digital Media Etc. and NuFormer, for ideas on how to make their presence at Art Basel 2015 a memorable one. Art Basel, is an annual celebration of art, music, food and culture, hosted annually in Miami. The festival is a priority for Toyota, as it seeks to engage an audience of young, creative influencers. To express the spirit of both the Toyota Avalon brand and of Art Basel, NuFormer conceived and produced a 3D projection mapping experience that had attendees immediately reaching for their mobile devices.
Using an actual Toyota Avalon as the canvas, the experiential media company projected beautiful, free-form animated sequences and road trip scenery – all set to music – onto the vehicle’s flat white exterior. With a shifting, ever-changing collage of colors and image, the concept was a hit, and the event garnered the desired buzz around Miami and on social media.

Brand positioning reveal
On November 13th, 2013, Philips revealed its new brand positioning with a spectacular 3D video mapping show projected onto the massive façade of the headquarter building in Amsterdam. Some hours after the reveal show in Amsterdam NuFormer also performed a slightly modified projection in São Paulo, Brazil. Before and after the big reveal Philips’ employees and other attendees were able to interact via Kinect with several staple Philips products and the building. And there is no better way than an interactive 3D video mapping to bring the brand line “innovation and you” to life!

Aqua Bella show Dolfinarium
NuFormer produced the 3D video mapping animations for the new Aqua Bella show. The upcoming three years the show will take the visitors onto a journey around the world and will display the beauty but also the vulnerability of the Earth. The animations are projected onto a tailor-made decor, designed by NuFormer’s managing director Rob Delfgaauw. By means of 3D video mapping the screen is transformed into beautiful landscapes that alternate with the dolphin behaviours. The DolfijndoMijn is one of the first theaters worldwide to incorporate this technique into their show.
